Enfield athletic event fundraises for epilepsy and autism

The Healthtrax Fitness and Wellness Center in Enfield will once again host the TriToHelp triathlon in early 2021.

The triathlon takes place indoors and features a 10-minute swim followed by a 30-minute bike ride, then a 20-minute run.

Registration is $60 per person, or $110 per team of three people looking to relay race. Everyone who finishes the race will earn a medal.

The person or team that raises the most money will win $100 in cash, and does not necessarily have to participate in the triathlon to qualify. To donate, pledge, or create a page for raising money, go to the Stroup Kids for Kids website.

There will be a wave of eight people starting the event in 40-minute intervals. Athletes can pick a time to begin, and this is on a first come, first served basis. Participants should arrive 45 minutes earlier than their scheduled start time. Emails of race guidelines and individual start times will go out before the triathlon.

The Baltimore-based Stroup Kids for Kids Foundation raises money for research and advocacy for individuals and families affected by autism and epilepsy.

Healthtrax is located at 3 Weymouth Road. The triathlon starts January 16, 2021 at 7:00 am for packet pickup. The first group of athletes will start at 8:00 am.

Print shops can create race packets in large quantities for racing events.
