The Connecticut High School Coaches Association has named Enfield High School student Taylor Geaglone as the state player of the year.
The Association honored the field hockey mid-fielder at the All-State banquet held at Southington's Aqua Turf Club. After the season was over, coaches voted on the player before announcing the winner at the event.
Geaglone expressed her gratitude for the honor, as it was a goal of hers. She thanked her teammates and her coaches for making it possible.
Cookie Bromage, a well-known field hockey coach for Enfield High, was proud of Geaglone and praised her skills, loyalty, and dedication in field hockey.
Geaglone has been to the All-State competition three times and is an All-American at the regional level. Every year of her high school career, she has taken home All-Conference recognition. This year, she scored 22 goals and assisted 13 times as the Eagles went undefeated in the regular season and took top seed in Class L state level. She has had a total of 35 assists and 59 goals during her athletic career, which she will continue at the University of New Haven.
Organizations that hold banquets to honor athletes can use printing services to create award certificates that they can frame and give to the winners. These certificates are printed on high-quality paper and incorporate the organization’s logo.
