Dancing and racing in Enfield

Entertainment in Enfield during the month of February will include a musical and an RC car race.

A musical based on the popular movie Legally Blonde is coming to the Enfield Annex. The annex is located at 124 North Maple Street.

The plot revolves around Elle Woods, a student at the University of California Los Angeles majoring in fashion. Her boyfriend Warner dumps her because she does not seem like a person he can see being with. Woods applies and is accepted to Harvard, where Warner goes to school. She turns out to be proficient in law and she receives high marks without forsaking her true self.

The show is on February 7 at 8pm. Tickets are available on showclix.com.

The February Freezer, the North East oval race for remote controlled cars, will take place at R/C Madness Inc., 101 North Street.

The hobby shop offers Wi-Fi and concessions. There will be three hotels in Enfield to stay at for the event, including the Red Roof Inn, The Holiday Inn, and the Hampton Inn.

Tickets cost $25 for First Class, and $10 for Second and Third Class. Only 200 slots are available and they are filling rapidly.

Open practice starts at 11am and ends at 6pm. Controlled practice is not available. Qualifiers will start at 6pm and go until each entry has had a chance to try out. The main race starts at 9pm on February 8.
