The Fall Power Athlete Training Camp will be held in Enfield next month. The one-day camp will be ideal for all court sport and field athletes in the area.
Open to young athletes from 12-17 years of age, the training camp will prepare teens for participation in high-impact sports including lacrosse, football, and volleyball by establishing a strength training program. Students will be given a foundation in the basics of bench pressing, deadlifting, squatting, and sprinting, helping them build upper body strength and improve their speed and coordination.
Coaches will also empower teens with a positive attitude and establish the sense of determination needed to accelerate their development. Physical and mental preparation are required by all athletes seeking a career in sports, during high school and into adulthood.
At the conclusion of the camp students will be provided with helpful resources, to continue his or her strength training and personal development from home. Professional printing services are often used to provide full color educational materials after classes such as these.
Power Athlete was established by NFL’s John Welbourn to provide strength training programs, and education in sports nutrition, for adults and youths. The organization routinely works with Men’s Health Magazine, Train Heroic software, the U.S. Army, and the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
The Fall Power Athlete Training Camp will be held on Saturday August 7 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Romeo Athletics, located at 7 Moody Road in Enfield. The total cost for the six-hour program is $199.00. Students are required to bring a water bottle, a healthy lunch, cleats, trainers, athleticwear, and a training workbook with them to the camp.
