9th Annual Puppy Pride Fun Day this weekend

On June 4 from 10am to 3pm, the Enfield Dog Park will host the annual Puppy Pride Fun Day for the ninth year in a row.

Residents will gather at

the Moose Lodge on South Road for the event and help keep the local dog park well maintained. The Enfield Dog Park, located on Ecology Drive, is comprised of all volunteers as a non-profit to give canines the chance to play and meet other dogs and people in a safe environment. The organization encourages donations and teaches residents how to properly care for their animals.

Pet shelters and merchants are set to attend this year along with the K9 Unit from the local police department. Three Clicks Photography will be taking photos of pets, Tim Jenson Productions will supply the music, and Moose Lodge Grill will provide drinks and grill favorites. The event's contests include Cutest Puppy, Best Looking Dog/Senior, Best Kisser, Bobbing for Hotdogs, and a costume contest. Attendees can also vote for seven candidates running for Dog Mayor for a donation. Voting is unlimited and the dog that raises the most money will become mayor for the year.
