Enfield game store to host regional tournament

Most Excellent Comics and Gaming in Enfield will host the Dragon Ball Z Card Game Regional Qualifiers.

The tournament will be in Swiss format with a Constructed Best of Three. After this the playoffs for the best eight players will begin, with the results of the Swiss rounds determining the player order. Players will have two minutes to review their opponents’ decks before each round begins. Players should only touch their own decks, and judges wearing gloves will be available to shuffle them.

Only 72 players will be admitted, and admission costs $30 for those who can bring their own participation material, and $40 for those who cannot. Players must have three of the most recent card sets to participate. Registration is available online on Most Excellent's website. If paying in person, card or virtual payment is preferred so as to adhere to social distancing.

The top eight players will receive travel vouchers, a Pro-Play Tour Top 8 Mat, and admission to the year's invitational. Prizes and rounds are based on the number of competitors.

Everyone must wear a mask at all times and submit to temperature test before entering. Staff will sanitize the tournament area and provide hand sanitizer.

The qualifier is on January 30, and registration starts at 9:00 am. There will be a meeting with all players 10 minutes before the competition starts, with Round 1 commencing at 11:00 am.
