Westminster will hold two outdoor events in late October. The first will be the Westy Half and 5k, and the second will be Westy Fest previously known as our Halloween Harvest Festival.
Registration for the Westy Half & 5k will be $65 for the Half Marathon and $40 for the 5k. The course will be an out-and-back beginning at the big Dry Creel Trail entrance in the Front Range Community Library parking lot heading north. Walkers and runners are invited to wear Halloween costumes.
All finishers will receive medals. Other swag will include white v neck T-Shirts printed with the event’s blue graphic design.
The charity partner will be Growing Home, a local organization providing services for strengthening families and nurturing children.
The Half Marathon will start Sunday, October 16th at 8:00 am and end around noon. The 5k will begin at 9:00 am and last until noon.
Westy Fest will be a free Halloween festival for the whole family. There will be carnival games, hot air balloons, trick-or-treating, and music by local bands.
Guests may purchase food from food trucks, taste samplings from the BBQ competition, and little ones can jump in the jumping castles. Everyone can choose their own pumpkins from a pumpkin patch.
Westy Fest will be Saturday, October 22nd from noon to 8:00 pm in Downtown Westminster Center Park.
