Westminster will commemorate the 4th of July with its traditional celebration and an Uncle Sam Splash Bash.
The City of Westminster will present its annual celebration with live entertainment including a stage with local talent performing funk, pop, bluegrass and rock music.
Free shuttle service will be provided from Westminster City Hall, Front Range Community College, The MAC, Rocky Mountain Elementary, Shaw Heights Middle School and West View Recreational Center.
Fireworks will begin around 9:15 pm.
The Westminster 4th of July Celebration will begin at the soccer fields at Westminster City Park, 10455 Sheridan Boulevard at 7:00 pm. Activities, live music, food and beer from vendors will begin a little earlier at 4:00 pm on July 4th.
Cities that hold 4th of July events often get banner printing done beforehand and place colorful red, white and blue Banners around town.
An Uncle Sam Splash Bash 50th Celebration at Countryside Outdoor Pool, 10470 Oak Street, Broomfield, will celebrate the big day with activities, food and a $300 quarter drop. Along with an afternoon of swimming, attendees will be treated to pool games, free BBQ, popcorn, snow cone and cotton candy and music provided by a local DJ. Admission will be the normal admission fees - $5 for resident youth, $6 for non-resident youth, $6 for resident adults, $7 for non-resident adults and $5 for resident seniors and $6 for non-resident seniors.
The Uncle Sam Splash Bash will be from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm.
