The Westy Half & 5k will be coming to Westminster in mid-October.
Registration for the half marathon will be $70, and the fee is $45 for the 5k. Swag will include gender-specific event T-Shirts and finisher medals.
Road Runner Sports at 10442 Town Center Drive, Ste 300, will have race packets available on October 11 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
The charity partner for this race will be Growing Home, an organization offering stability to those in need in the North Metro Denver area. Race participants are asked to bring five or more items to be donated to this organization. Race attendees are also encouraged to donate their new or gently worn sneakers so Growing Home may receive money from Sneakers 4 Funds.
Organizers of races like this often get their paper products such as race bibs, packets, and course markers printed with the race logo at local Print shops.
The Westy Half & 5k will take place on Sunday, October 12 at Promenade Terrace Park, 10600 Westminster Boulevard. Late packet pickup and registration will begin at 7:00 am. The half marathon will start at 8:00 am followed by the 5k starting at 9:00 am. The half marathon overall awards will begin at 9:30 am, with the 5k awards at 9:45 am. Age groups awards for the half marathon will start at 10:15 am.
