Westminster Fire and Arvada Fire will participate in their annual Great Turkey Gaggle coming in early November.
Both fire departments will be trying to outdo the other in gathering frozen turkeys. Another contest will be the regional Buffalo Wild Wings Blazin' Wing Eating contest where either a member of the Westminster or Arvada fire department will go to the finals in downtown Buffalo, New York next August.
The venue will offer games, activities and give aways appropriate for all family members, and along with community spirit, will also have live music, entertainment, food and beverages. Everyone can meet local heroes and thank them for their service.
Attendees are asked to bring non-perishable food items and frozen turkeys and drop them off at the donation stations.
The donated items, turkeys and money will be given to those in the Arvada and Westminster area in need this Thanksgiving.
Community organizations will be onsite meeting attendees and passing out information about their missions, services, and hours of operation. Vendors will be selling merchandise and local partners may be distributing Promotional Products such as yardsticks and promotional Pens.
That Party Truck will be streaming college football games for those wishing to check up on their favorite teams.
The Great Turkey Gaggle will take place Saturday, November 8th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at Walmart Westminster, 9499 Sheridan Boulevard.
