Westminster celebrates Earth Day

The 2026 Adams County Earth Day Celebration will be hosted by Westminster, Adams County and the cities of Commerce City, Brighton, Thornton, and Northglenn toward the end of April.

This will be the second annual event for the family-friendly environmental festival. Guests may test electric vehicles at the EV Ride and Drive, listen to live music, eat free food and get airbrushed tattoos. Kids can enjoy activities at the activity stations including building pollinator and bird houses, planting seeds and pedaling a bike to blend a smoothie, and there will be environmental education booths and sustainability exhibits for attendees to learn more about our environment and cutting-edge sustainable programs and practices.

Community partners and environmental groups participating will include Solar United Neighbors, Resource Central, Republic Services and the Regional Air Quality Council. Other Colorado groups will include Drive Clean, Power Ahead, Green Business Network, and Groundwork. Head count, Adams Count Health & SPARC and Leanne Organics will also have representatives on hand to answer questions and pass out information about their goods and services.

Organizations that support events like this often purchase Business Cards and other paper supplies such as those used in the children's activity stations from local printing services who can offer recycled materials.

This year's Earth Day Celebration will be at the Westminster City Park Recreation Center, 10455 Sheridan Boulevard from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, Saturday, April 25th.
