Westminster hardy runners will be heading to the Westy Winter Waggle coming in early February.
This inaugural family-friendly 5k and 10k race event will hopefully be a new winter tradition and will be run on a looped mostly paved gentle rolling paths on Big Dry Creek. The terrain may be snow packed.
Registration for either race distance will be $33.
Swag will include T-Shirts sporting this year's graphic design and post-race snacks.
This year's Charity Partner will be Growing Home, an organization dedicated to nurturing children through evidenced-based programs. Racers are asked to bring at least 5 items to be entered into the Race Day Raffle. Needs include nut butters, cereal and oatmeal, canned chicken and tuna, baby food, beans, rice and canned fruits and vegetables.
Raffle prizes will include gift awards, race tech T-Shirts, and free race entries
Race Day will begin at 8:00 am for late packet pick up and same day registration. Both race distance runners will begin their races at 9:00 am. The 5k awards ceremony will begin at 9:45 am followed by the 10k awards at 10:10 am. The finish line will close at 11:00 am.
Running events like this often have their printed products such as race bibs and trail markers printed at nearby Print shops.
