Westminster, Colorado will be hosting a fun run in mid-June.
Happy Camper Fun Run is a run through a park and some open spaces. The various lengths of the event are a half marathon, full marathon, 100 miles, 100k, 200 miles, 50 miles, and 150 miles.
The courses on which the event takes place have little tree coverage, so runners should plan ahead for the possible heat, especially with the increased elevation through the north end of the trail. If attendees wish, they are allowed to bring their dogs along as well, due to the area of the race being near a dog park. The trails allow for people to practice their navigation skills as well.
The courses run along the Standley Lake Regional Park, as well as the Westminster Hills Open Space. The south end of the route is the safer of the two, with the north end having a rockier terrain.
It is likely for prizes or Promotional Products to be available to racers. An age limit is not listed, although for those bringing children, it is best to stick to the southern trails due to the dangers of the elevation and rocks of the northern one.
The event is free to participate in. The starting point is located at Simms St & W 100th Ave, with a start time of 7:00 am. The date of this year’s fun run is June 16.
