This spring, the City of Westminster will be celebrating Earth Day with a special community clean-up, and all residents are asked to pitch in with the effort.
The city will be joining others all around the world in marking the occasion with an activity that will see locals take to the streets, parks and republic spaces to pick up litter and other debris. All ages can participate, so for kids it may be an introduction to the importance of environmental stewardship.
Those interested are asked to organize their family, neighbors, colleagues and anyone else who is willing into clean-up squads, and when they register with the city, they will be eligible to receive supplies to get the job done. These will then be collected for disposal. To thank the community for its hard work, the city will enter their names in a special draw to win a tree in honor of 2021 Arbor Day.
An initiative like this often makes a big difference in a city or other urban space, and a poster printing company will have a variety of ideas for getting the word out to the public, as well as Graphic Design Services to catch the eye.
This community clean-up has been scheduled for April 22. Anyone with questions has been asked to direct them to kmay@cityofwestminster.us.
