Three events have been planned for to help Westminster residents celebrate next month.
On May 11, Westminster Flower and Jazz Festival will be alive with vendors, herbs and flowers for sale and food from 10:00 am to noon along Main Street.
The library will have a Hub City Lindy Hop Dance from 10:00 am to noon and Monte Liester Quartet from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Bluestone Jazz will be playing from noon to 2:00 pm at Locust Lane, and BB&T will have school bands and ensembles from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. The West End Stage will offer Kevin Burnes, The Joe Baione Vibraphone Experience Trio, and Mr. Jon and Friends.
Carroll County Health Department will be holding a Safe Kids Zone at the Gehr Lot. Here kids can learn about bicycle safety, emergency preparedness, 911, children's mental health and poison prevention.
The West View Recreation Center will be hosting an evening of live jazz, French cuisine and dancing at its La de Paris event coming Saturday, May 19th from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Center at 10747 W 108 Avenue. Music will be provided by After Midnight and tickets will be $55.
Westminster Spring Orchard in the Park will feature 40 vendors selling everything from artwork, and jewelry, to baby gifts from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on May 21st between 146 and 147 Avenues on Orchard Town Center Town Center Drive. Vendors at such events often slip custom-made Business Cards in with purchases to encourage repeat purchases.
