Westminster is presenting this year's Westminster Arts Week starting this week.
The festivities will begin on Saturday, with free live mini paintings sessions and make-and-take art engagements, hula hoopers, a DJ, Community Chalk Art and a Whimsy make-and-go art in Orchard Town Center Plaza.
The Colorado Visions Art Show Reception Sunday at College Hill Library, 3704 W 112th Avenue will have the Colorado Visions Art Show, a make-and-go history and art project, refreshments and an awards presentation.
On Monday, Bowles House will have free tours.
An Artist Roundtable will be at College Hill Library from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Wednesday.
Various galleries around town will have free arts shows and make-and-take art sessions on Thursday evening.
For Friday, Downtown Westminster Plaza and the Fuse Box Container Art Gallery will have drink and meal deals, a Small Works Art Show and awards and a StudiOlé Flamenco Dance Company performance. Free live mural paintings, make-and-go art and open mic night at Historic Westminster - Creative Corner Coffee Shop will finish the evening.
On Saturday, the event will close with Bowles House Museum and Colorado Sound Studio tours, an Artisan Market, live mini-mural paintings, and make-and-take sessions. Colorado Sound Studios will offer free dance and music performances, and Westminster High School will have a fundraiser for its Creative Arts Pipeline program.
Towns that have events like this often have pictures sent to local Print shops for duplicates to put in town annals.
Westminster Arts Week will run from April 26th through May 3rd.
