Print Companies in Westminster

Westminster, Colorado, is a Denver suburb that lies about nine miles northwest of the city center. In 2006, Money Magazine ranked it as one of the nation's best places to live.

A golden start

Westminster, Colorado, might be said to have been founded on gold, as it was the discovery of the precious metal in 1858 in the South Platte River Valley that drew attention to the region. Gold fever, coupled with the Land Act of 1862, encouraged settlers on their way to California to stay in Colorado instead.

Pleasant DeSpain was the first European who settled in the area permanently, building a house near what today is Lowell Street and West 76th Avenue in 1870. Others began moving in, including Edward Bruce Bowles, whose influence helped build the community's railroad depot, constructed in 1881. Ten years later, construction started on Westminster Castle, which is still extant. For a time, the town was named Harris, after C.J. Harris, a real estate developer from Connecticut, but in 1911 the name was changed and the town was incorporated as Westminster, to honor Westminster University.

The Westminster Historical Society and the Westminster History Center maintain documents and exhibits of the city's colorful past, and can make the information accessible to visitors by working with brochure printers to devise Booklets that illustrate historical events.

Westminster today

The city provides housing for people who work in Denver, and is thought of as a “bedroom community.” However, it is also business-friendly, providing encouragement and services for people who want to relocate their companies here, or start a business from scratch. Westminster boasts a workforce that is talented and well-educated, and the city is located in a region of the country known for backing technology companies in particular as they start up.

Businesses of all kinds need to make sure they can communicate with customers and vendors. To do so, they can work with business card printing companies, which will help them create modern Business Cards for their employees to use in outreach efforts. In addition, they should also consider contacting Stationery printers, who can help them create modern, attractive Letterheads to use for correspondence.

Open space

Westminster enjoys a great deal of open space, and is proud of its many trails and parks. In fact, it has a program dedicated to maintaining open space, which has been a priority for the city for over 25 years. In 1985, voters approved a sales tax to be used specifically to obtain and preserve open space; since then, Westminster has purchased about 3,090 acres for this purpose.

Most people like to spend time outdoors, but it's helpful to have details about a trail or park to help plan a visit. Officials can help by working with flyer printing companies to create handouts for visitors.

Arts

Perhaps not surprising for a city that puts great emphasis on liveability, Westminster encourages the creation and display of public art. Sculpture can be found throughout the community, and the South Westminster Arts Group (SWAG) sponsors new art efforts every year, selecting seven pieces for display.

Art is fun and intriguing, and sponsors might consider working with a postcard printing company to create a card for Mailing to announce the location and time when a new work is installed.

Westminster is a vibrant community that works hard at being a great place to live.
