Spring is on its way and three special Westminster outdoor events are scheduled over the next few weeks.
The ever-popular Adult Egg Hunt will grace Walnut Creek Golf Preserve again this year. Strictly not for kids, this unique spring experience will include egg and carrot tosses, two egg hunts, egg races, other spring-themed challenges, and the Outrageous Bonnet Contest.
Pictures taken with unusual characters such as the event’s Easter Bunny often find their way to local Stationery printers to be included in family yearly Calendars.
The Adult Egg Hunt will be Saturday, April 9 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at 10555 Westmoor Drive. Tickets are $50.
A Great Global Clean-up will be a week-long Westminster Volunteer Celebration. Groups of families and friends can register with the city and clean up their designated areas between April 17 and April 23. The city will provide trash Bags during the week, and free grab-in-go lunches at City Park from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 23.
On Saturday, May 21 there will be an Armed Forces Day Ceremony from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The ceremony at the Westminster Armed Forces Tribute Garden will consist of a flag presentation, patriotic music, 21-gun salute, and a keynote speaker. Names of all the newly purchased brick honorees will be read.
