Westminster has quite a few Halloween-themed events scheduled for the latter part of October.
The one-hour Glow in the Dark Costume Ball for children at the College Hill Library’s 1st floor, L 107 will include snacks, dancing, glowsticks, and a photo booth. Registration is underway and the fun will take place Monday, October 16 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
City Park, 10455 Sheridan Boulevard, will kick off the fall season with Westy Fest. The family-friendly event will feature a hot-air balloon glow, carnival games, live music performances, jump castles, food trucks, and trick-or-treating. Guests may choose pumpkins to take home from the pumpkin patch. Westy Fest will take place Saturday, October 21 from noon to 8:00 pm.
The College Hill Library will present Spooky Local Lore with local legends, Westminster ghost stories, and regional spooky tales. This event is for those 16 years or older. Spooky Local Lore will be Wednesday, October 25 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
Not to be outdone, West View Recreation Center, 10747 W 108th Avenue, will hold its annual Boo at the View. Guests are invited to come dressed in their Halloween best to enjoy hayrides, crafts, a balloon artist, plenty of games and candy. The fun will run from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Saturday, October 28.
