Seasoned Westminster pickleball players, and those wishing to learn how to play one of the fastest growing sports in the country, have a chance to be part of the inaugural Sense of Security Pickled Pink fundraiser coming in mid-April.
Newbies and those who may be a little rusty can get free rental equipment and some pointers from coaches before the tournament.
Check in will begin at 1:00 pm, and that will be followed at 2:00 pm by the tournament. Each player will get up to four hours of play time. Groups composed of beginners, intermediate, or advanced players will be organized so everyone can enjoy competitive play.
Tickets are available for $95, and swag will include lunch, two drinks, and T-Shirts sporting the Sense of Security Pickled Pink graphic design. The event has been limited to 100 players to ensure good game play on the venue’s eight courts.
Although Summit Mortgage Corporation Lakewood has grabbed the Title Sponsorship, and Jennifer Oldham Coldwell Banker Realty has reserved one of the two drink $500 sponsorships. At the time of writing, several $500 sponsorships are still available. The $300 Equipment Sponsor will support the novice players, the two Food Sponsors will help provide lunches, and the eight Court Sponsors will each get represented in one of the venue’s courts.
The tournament will be Saturday, April 15 at Pickleball Food Pub, 7647 West 88th Avenue.
