New home for startup that found TV fame

A startup called McSquares, which featured on the hit tv-show “Shark Tank” on ABC, is relocating to Thornton.

The company makes dry-erase whiteboards, among other products, and was founded by Anthony Franco in 2016. It will now be located at 550 Thornton Parkway, which is a few miles northeast of Westminster. The new location is four times bigger than its previous office space in Denver.

When speaking about the move, Franco said:

“We’re anticipating a lot of growth next year, and so it was either move now and move the entire shop or have two different locations. It would have been too difficult to stay in that small space at the rate we are moving.”

McSquares’ line of products also includes dry-erase tiles designed to be used in collaborative environments, reusable sticky notes, Calendars, and planners. The company has even designed a “HomeWork Kit” to make remote working easier. Similar products can be found at Print shops.

The vast majority (95%) of the company’s products are produced in Colorado, while 5% come from China. The move to a larger space will allow McSquares to produce a new line of products and fit in new machinery.

Franco appeared on Shark Tank looking for investors for his company and convinced one of the Sharks to invest $300,000 in McSquares. He says that his sales volume doubled in the weeks after he appeared on the show.
