Owls are silent nighttime hunters that help keep rodent populations under control, and a Loveland venue has organized an evening that will explore the life and times of these birds.
Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch will be giving the inside scoop on the nocturnal creatures when it welcomes diners for a dinner and talk by owl expert Scott Rashid. He will be focused on American barn owls and American great horned owls, which are two species that call the area home.
Diners will be treated to a full meal, and the menu will be released by its chef closer to its scheduled date. A cold drink station and cash bar with beer, wine, and other beverages will be on offer as well. The program will follow the dinner, and afterwards, Rashid will treat ticketholders to a discussion about owls and the role they play in their ecosystems. There will be both images and videos incorporated into the presentation, and the function has a run time of two hours.
