A fun event for a good cause is scheduled to take place in Loveland.
The Larimer County 4-H Carnival is the major fundraiser for the Larimer County 4-H Foundation. Monies raised at the event help defray the expenses of leaders and 4-H members’ activities including national, state, and regional competitions; member, junior leader, and leader development courses; the Western 4-H Round-up; the National 4-H Congress; the State 4-H Conference; Citizenship Washington Focus; livestock camps; and members’ projects’ expenses.
The 4-H program was established between 1912 and 1914 and provides educational opportunities for young people interested in various fields but centered mostly on agriculture.
Although admission to the carnival is free, 4-H members will be selling $1 tickets. Each ticket is an entry into a drawing for door prizes, as well as cash prizes. In addition, each ticket can be exchanged for two booth tickets. On the day of the event, tickets to the game booths will be 25¢ each.
The cash prizes of the drawing will be one $200 prize, two $150 prizes, and three $100 prizes. Other events include live auctions, and a vendor/craft show where people can find unique items. The auctions are set for 12.00 pm and 2.00 pm. Events like this benefit from publicity organizers can generate when they use poster printing to create advertising.
The Carnival is scheduled for October 31, from 10.00 am until 4.00 am at the Embassy Suites-Loveland, 4705 Clydesdale Parkway. Parking is free.
