Loveland has a sweet celebration on the way for September, and this honey of an event will offer fun for all ages and interests.
The city will be rolling out the welcome mat for the annual Honey Festival, and it will be on offer at Fairgrounds Park. It will be a time to show some love to area apiarists, and many locally produced products will be on offer.
The public will be invited to purchase honey from one or more of the vendors that will be on site, and an observation beehive will give a sneak peek into the daily lives of these industrious insects. Beeswax for candles, crafting and other uses may be purchased and there will be other bee-themed products as well. The younger guests can enjoy themselves in the Busy Bee Kid Zone, and everyone can lace up their sneakers and take to the course set for the Honeybee Hustle Run, which will follow a one-mile loop route.
As the harvest season opens, agricultural festivals and fairs will be a common sight in many communities. Organizers of events can order everything from items to include in promotional packages for distribution to potential sponsors to ribbons and other awards to present to the winners in various competitions from a local printing services company.
