Loveland celebrates with mid-May day of play

A day next month has been designated as National Play Day, and it will give the young and the young at heart reasons to smile.

The community of Loveland has scheduled a special celebration in honor of the occasion. Taking place at North Lake Park, it will have a jungle theme, and it is being offered at no cost to community members.

The function will see families sit down to enjoy the picnic fare they have brought along, and the kids can try their luck in the jungle safari. Staff and volunteers will be placing stuffed animals for the youngsters to spot in a mini safari, and everyone can wet their whistle at the Kool-Aid Watering Hole. The Mobile Recreation Trailer will be parked on site, and a rainforest-themed photo booth will be on hand as well. Buckthorn Northern Railroad has been invited to join the fun during the three-hour celebration.

While they are enjoying themselves, those who attend the festivities will have the chance to learn more about the city’s parks and summer event schedule. A brochure printing company can prepare materials that provide community members with information about such local activities.

This day that celebrates everyone's inner child will be welcoming the public on Saturday, May 18. It will run from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm.
