Scholarship fundraiser provides opportunity to Longmont students

Longmont residents can contribute to a worthy cause next month, as a scholarship fundraiser and dinner is scheduled for area residents.

The Longmont Latinx Voices Annual Dinner Dance and Scholarship Fundraiser will be celebrated through a dinner serving food and New Mexico music for attendees to dance to after the dinner concludes. The event aims to use the funds collected from the dinner to uplift Longmont area youth.

Eight scholarships will be awarded with the proceeds from the dinner. The event will start with a cocktail hour and silent auction with items attendees can bid on. The dinner will end at 6:00 PM, during which the recipients of the scholarships will be announced. Poster printing is a fantastic way to spread word of events like this in the local community.

The dance will begin at 7:30 PM, and this portion is for adults only. The music will be performed by award-winning artists Daniel Gallegos and Sangre Joven from Las Vegas, New Mexico.

The event will be held at the Moose Lodge on Saturday, May 11th, with the doors opening at 4:00 PM. Table reservations are available at request for up to 10 attendees. Tickets can be purchased online and start at $35 per person. Those who sign up are advised that refunds will only be given if the event is canceled.
