A Longmont event is set to celebrate the season of love Victorian style, and this special event will be on offer at a local historic venue.
Hoverhome, which is a Longmont site with a rich history, will be rolling out the welcome mat for its Victorian Tea. The proceeds will support the efforts of the St. Vrain Historical Society and tickets are $60 each.
During the activity, guests will learn the secrets of “fan language”, which women would often use to express their feelings, and even flirt, without saying a word. Each of the attendees will be treated to a three-course tea, and sandwiches as well as baked treats and other foods will be on the menu. A self-guided tour of the venue is also included.
A fundraiser or other gathering with a historic flavor can count on being able to order specially prepared, period-style decor from local poster printing companies. They will have a variety of options on offer, including budget-friendly styles that may be used over and over.
This chance to take a step back in time to the Victorian era is scheduled for Saturday, February 7. The start time for the gathering is 10:30 am. Anyone who would like to participate can secure their passes through its web listing and is urged to do this quickly, as a sellout is expected.
