Longmont Library explores emergency preparedness

Disasters can strike at any time, anywhere, and those who participate in a Longmont workshop will be ready to take on the challenge.

Longmont Library has scheduled a class that will explore emergency preparedness from the perspective of a typical member of the public. Registration is needed to participate, and it will be delivered in English.

The Be Ready Longmont workshop will cover a variety of topics, and these include how to make sure one gets notified in case of an emergency evacuation or other disaster. The importance of doing so as a connected community will be stressed, and everyone will learn how they can be part of building a resilient city. There is room for up to 32 attendees, and its registration system will open for sign-ups starting on December 29th.

One of the benefits of attending the session will be that the registrants will receive information about additional resources and learning opportunities they can access in their own home area. A brochure printing company is often tasked with preparing copies of handouts for an event, and these may include full colour illustrations, diagrams and other graphics.

Thursday, January 29th has been set as the date for this interactive learning opportunity. It will begin at 6:00 pm and wrap up at 7:30 pm, and its web listing provides a registration link.
