The autumn season is around the corner, and Longmont runners are in for a treat as an Oktoberfest-themed 5K running event is in the works for the area.
The Oktoberfest 5K at Wibby Brewing is coming up next month, providing beer lovers and distance runners a reason to unite for fun and exercise in the Colorado autumn weather. The running event aims to dovetail exercise with craft beer to give runners a welcome break from reality.
Participants are welcome to run, jog, or walk the course, with any combination being allowed. Each participant who completes the course will be rewarded with a free craft beer from a local brewery free of charge. The 5K, organized by the Colorado Brewery Running Series, aims to raise funds and give back to the local community. Banner printing is a colorful way to display sponsor logos while welcoming participants to the finish line at such running events.
The run will be untimed and focused on having fun with like-minded individuals. To enjoy the complimentary beer, all attendees must bring and present a valid form of identification. The run will proceed rain or shine, and participants should dress accordingly.
The 5K will begin and end at Wibby Brewing, starting at 10:00 AM on the morning of Sunday, September 15th. Runner registration is available online, and tickets cost $35 per participant.
