Make-along art session provides creative outlet in Longmont
An artistic experience is coming to Longmont next month, providing creatives an opportunity to learn new skills and create artwork and home decor.
The Make-Along: Miniature Plant Sculptures creative session will soon open its doors to interested parties. It will provide step-by-step instructions on creating miniature potted plants using clay and hands. Gen Eliot, an acclaimed local sculptor and purveyor of Eliot Arts, will lead the workshop. The organizers hope to start a new tradition that will bring Longmont residents together to harness their creativity and learn new skills.
Attendees will use colorful clay to create miniature plants that look vibrant and lively throughout the Colorado winter. Plant options will include Snake Plants, Cacti, and other succulents in any color that appeals to the participant. Brochure printing is an effective way to share more tips and techniques with participants at such art events.
Students will have time to create two simple plants or one complex plant during the creative session. No clay experience is necessary, and Eliot will provide instructions to help each student create plants they are proud of. Attendees are encouraged to wear clothing they do not mind dirtying.
Fettle and Fire will host the make-along session on Thursday, February 6th, with the doors opening at 3:45 PM and class beginning at 4:00 PM. Registration is open online for $30 per attendee.
