Crafting experience teaches Longmont new skills
A creative workshop is being paired with a breakfast theme in Longmont, helping area residents enjoy a social event that teaches new skills.
The Monthly Make-Along: Breakfast Candle Holders crafting event is scheduled to arrive in Longmont next month, and area creatives are invited to attend and learn new skills in a fun and engaging environment. Participants will learn the basics of creating egg and toast-shaped candle holders, with the candles coming from locally-sourced beeswax.
The session will be led by Lindsey Bricker and Gen Eliot, two local artists with an extensive crafting history. They will instruct students on using speckled clay to create tealight holders in the shapes of sliced bread and eggs.
Students can choose to customize their shapes or use the provided templates. Supplies will be provided, ensuring each student receives one egg and one slice of bread. Brochure printing is a fantastic way to provide tips and instructions for continuing to learn from home after the event.
No clay experience is required to register and participate. The workshop is open to all interested parties 16 and over, and attendees are encouraged to wear clothes they don’t mind getting dirty.
Fettle and Fire in downtown Longmont will host the crafting workshop, which has a date set for Thursday, June 5th, from 4:00 to 5:30 PM. Interested parties can make reservations online for $30 per person.
