Group to discuss Lord of the Rings in Longmont
A fellowship will be gathering in Longmont in a few weeks to discuss a beloved book series, and Longmont residents with a love of fantasy are encouraged to attend.
The Grey Havens Group: A Lord of the Rings Discussion Group will be meeting with other members and like-minded individuals to discuss the themes and ideas of Middle Earth, diving deep into the book series while examining Tolkien’s writing. The group aspires to provide a philosophical setting where attendees can exchange ideas and discover new perspectives together.
The discussions are ideal for fans of Tolkien literature, particularly those who love The Lord of the Rings trilogy, as well as for lovers of fantasy themes and those who appreciate the connections between life and nature. Knowledge of the book series is not required to attend. Print shops can help organizers generate resources for debates and discussions like this, enhancing the participant experience.
The session will begin with guests watching or reading a couple of clips from the books or movies, using them to spark the conversation. It is being organized by Grey Havens Philosophy, a local non-profit that teaches individuals to think creatively and critically.
