Ceramics workshop provides learning in Longmont

Artists and creatives in Longmont will want to save the date, as a ceramics workshop is coming to town to teach the basics in a fun setting.

The Monthly Make-Along: Ceramic Conversation Hearts workshop will begin next month. Local artists Lindsey Bricker and Gen Eliot will lead the 90-minute workshop, which will provide attendees with the knowledge and instructions to create hearts of their own in preparation for Valentine’s Day. The class will be the first in a monthly tradition of offering learning workshops in town.

Students will use colorful stoneware in colors like red, orange, dark green, light green, and blue to create ceramic hearts. Each student can then stamp the hearts with custom messages and give them to friends, family, and loved ones for a special occasion or Valentine’s Day. Brochure printing can help students in such courses retain more information and get more from their time.

Registered guests can spend time making several hearts or one large heart garland. Enrolling and participating in the class requires no experience working with clay. The hearts will be fired and available for pickup well before the arrival of Valentine’s Day.

Fettle and Fire will host the ceramics workshop and learning session on Thursday, January 2nd. Doors open at 3:45 PM. Tickets are for sale online, starting at $30 per person.
