Longmont kids to learn the art of sewing

There will be a summer sewing camp held in Longmont from May through June.

At these sessions, participants will have the chance to use a variety of crafting tools and techniques, including sewing machines and screen printing. They will use these tools to create items to decorate and personalize their living areas. They will get the chance to make a variety of projects, such as home decorating items, Bags, and clothes. This program is not only a way for children to gain knowledge of sewing basics, but also a way for them to gain the confidence needed to make projects of their own.

The program is intended for kids ages 8 to 16. The cost to participate in the program is $230 for each session. However, if more than one child or a group is being registered, they can get 10% off by sending an email to info@firehouseart.org. Only eight attendees will be allowed per session.

All instructions and items needed will be provided. There will be a break within each session, as well as a supervised lunch and an art camp.

Print shops can be a great way for organizers to provide useful materials to kids at events such as this one.

The one-week event will start Monday, May 29 through Monday, June 5. Its location will be at the Firehouse Art Center on 667 4th Avenue, Longmont.
