A brewery-sponsored fun run is coming to the Longmont area next month, providing beer lovers and runners a chance to come together.
The 2024 Left Hand Half Marathon and 5K Fun Run will start in a few weeks, inviting all runners to stretch their legs and lace up their running shoes. The race will start and end at Left Hand Brewery. A 5K fun run will also be included during the day’s festivities, for all those who do not wish to run the entire half marathon length.
The trail will follow the St. Vrain Greenway for 6.55 miles, before turning around and continuing. Participants will gain little elevation, as the course is limited to 300 feet of elevation change. Runners will also have access to aid stations every 2 to 2.5 miles. Banner printing is often seen as the ideal way to welcome runners to the finish line at racing events like this.
All runners in the half marathon will receive a tech shirt, while 5K runners will receive a t-shirt to commemorate the event. Runners will also be welcomed to the finish line with a cold beer from Left Hand Brewery.
The race is scheduled for Saturday, April 21. Check-in begins at 6:30 am, and runners are due to take off at 7:30 pm. Tickets cost $70 and are available online.
