The Longmont Museum will host a classical concert on behalf of the Boulder Bach Festival this February.
The event, called “Across Time, Across Cultures,” will feature experienced classical performers. The overall concert has diverse styles of music. It will incorporate pieces from different time periods. These selections will range from Manuel de Falla to Sebastian Bach.
The performances will break barriers across language and culture with impactful pieces from Hebrew, Spanish and French composers. Performances will be given in ensemble, duo, and solo form.
The performers include Lina Bahn, Claire McCahan, and Nicholas Recuber. Each musician will play renowned pieces and give them their own unique twist. The ensemble will accompany Recuber as he debuts the works of composer Raymond Granlund. His accompaniments come courtesy of the Colorado Symphony Orchestra.
Other performance pieces include "Hebrew Melody" by Joseph Achron, "Siete canciones populares Españolas" by Manuel de Falla, and "D'un matin de printemps" by Lily Boulanger.
The tickets for this event will cost $60 per individual. No reservations are required, although tickets must be purchased on the Boulder Bach Festival’s website.
