Childrens art course planned for Longmont

Parents interested in introducing their children to arts and crafts will want to keep an open calendar next month, as a course geared toward helping children indulge in the arts is set to come to Longmont.

Discovery Day Arts is scheduled to begin in a few weeks, providing children between 2 and 6 years old access to arts and crafts. The early childhood program, hosted by Ms. Leigh and Henry, is designed to encourage children and parents to dive into hands-on arts and crafts activities in a welcoming and safe environment.

The event will incorporate music and movement activities to help children grow skills for future educational opportunities. The instructors will provide activities to grow the concentration, language development, and fine motor skills of participating children preparing to attend schools and begin formal education. Printing services are an excellent option for procuring arts and crafts materials for events like this.

The participating adults will learn the skills to assist their children on their educational journeys. It’s an opportunity for parents to consult with the classroom guides and learn the skills to help their children learn and grow.

The event will be held at the Longmont Museum on Friday, February 2, starting at 9:15am and running until 2:15pm. Tickets cost $2.50 for non-members and $2.25 for members, and can be purchased online or at the door.
