Students and aspiring artists should make time for a youth art camp coming to Longmont in a few weeks.
The Art Camp with the Masters event will offer area students aged 10 to 15 an opportunity to learn new art skills and enhance existing ones. The camp instructors will guide participants through the works of The Masters, Leonardo DiVinci, Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet, and Rembrandt.
The course will focus on the art categories of Minimalism, Surrealism, Modernism, and Abstract Expressionism. The camp’s goal is to assist attendees in creating a masterpiece using these principles by the end of the week.
Registered students must bring a sketchbook with plenty of blank pages for sketching, note-taking, and drawing during class sessions. Printing services are an excellent way to share works and finished pieces from art events like this.
For the weeklong camp, attendees can bring their favorite pencils, ink drawing Pens, and pastels. The event's host will supply snacks, drinking water, and painting materials.
The Firehouse Art Center will host the camp starting on Monday, June 10, and ending on Friday, June 14. The doors will open at 9:00 AM for each class session. Interested parties can reserve tickets online, with the price starting at $250 per attendee, not including any booking fees added on by sites like Eventbrite.
