Annual tour to be held in Longmont

The annual ASES National Solar Tour will be taking place in Longmont this October.

This tour stands as the nation's premier annual grassroots event for solar energy, renewables, and sustainable living. The tour will be led by the Colorado Agrivoltaic Learning Center at Jack's Solar Garden, the most extensive agrivoltaic (meaning agriculture supported by solar power) study site in the country. This family-friendly journey lasts an hour and 15 minutes and promises an immersive introduction to agrivoltaics, shedding light on its potential advantages for farmers, local communities, and biodiversity.

The tour will be conducted entirely outdoors on uneven terrain. Potable water is not available on site, and there is a single non-ADA accessible restroom. Pets are not permitted on the premises, except for leashed service animals.

The cost to attend the event is $35. The admission ticket donation contributes to bringing local students to Jack's Solar Garden to discover the benefits of clean energy and learn about other environmental topics.

Poster printing can be a great way to provide information about events such as this one.

Interested individuals should register by 5:00 pm on Friday, October 6. Those who wish to cancel can inform the organizers at tours@coagrivoltaic.org.

The tour will be happening October 6 through 8 at Jack's Solar Garden, 8102 North 95th Street, Longmont. Attendees are encouraged to check in 10 minutes prior to the tour's scheduled start time.
