Vallejo receives funds to improve Internet

An amount of $3.85 million has been received by the city of Vallejo for the Last Mile Expansion with the goal of expanding the broadband infrastructure in the city.

This was in the form of a grant from the California Public Utilities Commission. The funds will be used to improve connectivity to the Internet in underserved areas of the city. This will include four specific locations in the city.

Flyer printing can be used throughout a city to inform residents of such funding and their benefits for a city overall.

The funds will help to improve Internet connectivity for small businesses and residents in the diverse community of North Sonoma Boulevard. The improved services will provide greater access to educational opportunities and healthcare. Those businesses in the Porter Street to Seaport area will benefit from the improved broadband infrastructure by boosting business operations to be better able to compete with the other industries that rely on reliable and fast Internet services.

Trailer City Park is one of the most underserved residential areas in Vallejo. The expansion of broadband will help residents to connect with online services and improve their overall quality of life. The last project is on Mare Island, which has recently grown with many new businesses. This funding will ensure that cutting-edge digital infrastructure will support these businesses and help to attract additional growth.
