Halloween party to come to Vallejo

A Halloween Block Party will be held on Mare Island, Vallejo and is expected to attract good numbers.

The celebration will start at the Vino Godfather Mansion and continue along Walnut Avenue to Officers Row. Here the mansions will be spookily decorated and it up for Halloween. This will be a family-friendly event that will start with decorating pumpkins, trick-or-treating for kids, face painting, and costume contests for kids and families. Family pets are also invited to participate in the costume contest.

The event will feature music, to which attendees can dance if they wish, as well as a lineup of food trucks serving a sampling of food, seasonal drinks, and hot chocolate.

There is no charge for this event but those who wish to attend will need to register online to secure their spot. Those who are 13 years of age and younger will receive a complimentary goodie bag of Halloween treats while supplies last.

This event is made possible by Mare Island Co. which focuses on the lasting values and visions that will shape the island for many years in the future. This Halloween Block Party will be on Walnut Avenue in Vallejo on Saturday October 25 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
