Two summer events will be taking place in Vallejo and neighboring communities next month.
August Summer Nights in Vallejo transform the downtown into a high energy and vibrant block party on Thursday nights during the month. On these evenings, there are food trucks, a beer garden, activities for kids, restaurants and shops open, and many more activities. August Summer Nights celebrates the creativity, community spirit, and culture that makes the city what it is.
Sponsors of the event include the city of Vallejo, Provisions, Mare Island Co., and Vallejo Cellars, among others. The kick-off is Thursday August 6 and this celebration will take place every Thursday in August from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.
In nearby Benecia there will be a Benicia Peddlers Fair along the First Street Promenade downtown. This is a family-friendly event that enables people to browse the massive antique fair with over 300 vendors and grab a bite to eat from the food trucks. Live music is featured in the late afternoon. SolTrans will be providing public transportation to the fair to facilitate attendance as admission is free. The Benicia Peddlers Fair will take place on Saturday August 8, beginning at 8:00 a.m. and running until 5:00 p.m.
Poster printing can be used to promote such special summer events throughout a city and neighboring communities.
