Sale of mall tops $50m mark

A mall within East Oakland has recently changed hands for the princely sun of $54.5m.

The structure lost some significant retail outlets during the economic restructuring of the 1990s. After a spell in which the development worked in part as a service center for government, a new future is waiting for it.

Not all the retail space within the mall has been sold as yet. It has been reported that the asking price for some of the property involved could be approximately $20m. Any organizations which are tempted by this option could use digital business card printing in Vallejo to help promote their unique offers.

Hamid Rezapour, the chief executive officer of Vertical Ventures, has already purchased office space on the site. He has suggested that $20 for each square foot would be a reasonable rent for his firm to charge.

Rezapour has told the San Francisco Business Times:

“We're looking for projects where we can execute a value-add strategy.”

Rezapour has explained that San Francisco is a little expensive for some developers at the moment. This is partly behind the decision of Vertical Ventures to look for opportunities in locations like Oakland.

Rezapour confirmed that the main structure requires some basic refurbishment, and this will involve the fitting of a fresh roof.
