Inclusive playground opens in Vallejo area
The Magical Bridge Playground at Rengstorff Park is now open in Mountain View, within easy driving distance of Vallejo.
The playground has an innovative area for play and programming designed to be welcoming for people of all abilities, ages, and backgrounds. The features of the playground include a two-story treehouse that can be used by people in wheelchairs and can host stage performances, a kindness corner that promotes social inclusion and connection, quiet spaces for individuals who need a sensory break during play, and unique equipment such as spinning zones, high-back swings, and tactile play elements.
Brochure printing is often used to highlight the features and benefits of such new and innovative playgrounds.
The playground cost $7.3m to build and was funded with money from a grant from the county of Santa Clara, donations to the Magical Bridge Foundation, and a California State Parks Bond Per Capita grant, among other funding sources.
Margaret Abe-Koga, Santa Clara County District 5 Supervisor, said that this new playground is not only for play but also a place that fosters connections and overcomes barriers. She added that all children can feel celebrated and included at the playground, and it embodies the ideals that make Santa Clara and Mountain View welcoming areas to live.
The park can be found at 201 S Rengstorff Avenue.
