Sam Morrill, a native of New York City, is one of today’s best joke writers, and in 2011, was named one of the “Comics to Watch” at Comedy Central. He has become a regular on the late-night circuit, performing numerous sets on “Conan,” “The Late, Late Show with James Corden,” and “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.” He has also appeared on “Inside Amy Schumer,” “@midnight with Chris Hardwick,” “America’s Got Talent,” and “Last Comic Standing.”
Other work includes his stint as a co-host on the “We Might Be Drunk” podcast, and “That’s My Time,” shown on Netflix. Netflix is also showing his latest comedy special, “Sam Morril: Same Time Tomorrow.”
His specials are well-received. In 2020, he released “I Got This,” his third comedy effort for Comedy Central. The program got more than 1.5 million views in its first two weeks on the air. In addition to appearing on television, mostly as himself, he also has a cameo in the feature film “Joker.”
A review says:
“Morril’s . . . stories are punctuated by observations that are both hilarious and poignant, revealing a comedian who has honed his craft to a fine point.”
Sam Morrill will be at the Balboa Theatre in Downtown San Diego on May 2. Shows like this are often advertised with Posters, which organizers can have created at local Print shops.
