Event for coffee pros planned in San Diego

An upcoming event in San Diego will bring coffee professionals together in a meeting to improve the industry.

The World of Coffee San Diego 2026 is so large it will be held at the San Diego Convention Center in the city’s downtown. The World of Coffee is the biggest event in North America devoted to the drink, and is a rebranding of Specialty Coffee Expo, bringing it in line with other events.

The conference offers more than 600 exhibits, over 20 workshops led by experts, and more than 60 lectures. There will also be awards for the best new products, awards for coffee design, cupping rooms where people can sample coffee, and a Roaster Village. There will also be a Coffee Value Assessment, a technique that evaluates coffee across four assessment metrics, a new tool first introduced in 2023.

Workshops are from 2.5 to 3.5 hours long and give participants a chance to study a topic in depth, and then apply what they have learned to problem-solving, hands-on situations.

The World of Coffee Expo is scheduled for April 10 to 12; the convention center is near San Diego Bay, at 111 West Harbor Drive. Admission to the event is by invitation only and is limited to specialty coffee industry members and prospective members. Events like this can benefit if organizers use brochure printing to create pamphlets for attendees, including lists of workshops, exhibitors, a floor plan, and a timetable of awards ceremonies.
