Entitled Housewife comes to San Diego

A comedian who got her start self-producing entertainment during the pandemic is coming to San Diego.

Becky Robinson is a native of Portland, Oregon, who moved to San Diego to attend San Diego State University. She began performing improv when she was a junior. She graduated with a business management major and a media minor, and with school behind her and a year of improv to her credit, she relocated to Los Angeles, where she is now based.

During the pandemic, Robinson created the character for which she is best known, the “Entitled Housewife.” The character is a potty-mouthed, uninhibited parody of country club culture and the women who are part of this setting. The character appeared in an improv video and took off, building an army of fans for Robinson.

She released the song “Mama Needs a Claw” in 2022, and in 2024, got underway with her “She Gone” tour. In addition to her successful tours, the Just For Laughs Montreal festival named her one of the “New Faces of Comedy” in 2024. Her talent earned her a development deal for a sketch show, as well as voiceover jobs with Netflix, Nickelodeon, and DreamWorks. A review of a live show says:

“I laughed from the beginning to the end. She is so talented and hysterical.”

Becky Robinson will be at the Balboa Theatre, a landmark in downtown San Diego, on May 9. Using poster printing, organizers of events like these can create effective advertising for them.
