An EDM (electronic dance music) artist, DJ, and record producer will be bringing his music to The Quartyard, a venue near Petco Park.
Benjamin David, who goes by the name Mild Minds, is a native of Melbourne, Australia, who is now based in Los Angeles. In 2018, he released “Swim,” his debut single, and followed it up with the release of an EP with the same name later that year. The Luc Bradford remix of the song was nominated for a Grammy for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical, in 2020.
His work was honored again in 2020 when Colin Read directed the video for Mild Minds’ song “Wells.” The video won Best Dance/Electronic Video – Newcomer at the UK Music Video Awards. More good news came this year, when the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) certified his single “Formations” Gold. The song is from his debut album, “Mood.”
Mild Minds began his career when he began experimenting and creating with material outside his normal boundaries. “Swim” is described in an Insomniac.com review as a work that has:
Critics note that fans of Four Tet, Caribou, and Bonobo are likely to enjoy the music of Mild Minds.
Mild Minds will be at The Quartyard on Friday, December 12. If they choose to use poster printing, organizers of events like this can create colorful advertising for them.
