A popular sports event that says summer is here has been scheduled in San Diego.
The event is the 67th Annual World Championship Over The Line Tournament, and the Old Mission Beach Athletic Club (OMBAC) is inviting all sports enthusiasts, beach-goers, and players to enjoy one of the most popular summer events in San Diego.
The multi-weekend event takes place on Mission Bay's Fiesta Island, where more than 1,000 teams from throughout the world will compete. Over-the-Line (OTL) began in San Diego, with friends playing in the sand, and has exploded into one of the most-anticipated of the city's summer events.
OTL is played with a bat and ball, and bears a resemblance to baseball, though there are only three people on a team. During the first weekend, games will be three innings long, and on the second weekend, they will be four inning long. The OTL Committee has the right to shorten the games to end the tournament. The games begin at 7.30 am and will be played until sunset. The event will end with the Men's Open Championship on the second Sunday.
One of the transitions of the tournament is for teams to devise unusual names, most of which are raunchy. Among the cleanest ones are “No More Jell-O Shots” and “Sometimes You Just.” The dates for this year's tournament are July 11-12, and July 18-19. Flyer printing can be used to create handouts for this type of team event.
