San Diego goes green

A workshop has been scheduled in San Diego for those working to help maintain and improve the environment.

A communications company with international standing, www.Green.org, is presenting The Green Summit, an in-person, two-day meeting offering presentations by some of the leading figures in sustainability, clean energy, and cleantech. Hap Klopp, the founder of North Face, a company that produces products for outdoor recreation, will give the keynote speech. The company hopes to create the world’s largest educational platform to spread the word about sustainability.

The event schedule includes 30-minute presentations by various experts in the style of TED Talk. After the presentations, which will take place from morning until early afternoon, there will be opportunities for networking. The talks are from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm both days, followed by a keynote speech from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, with networking following, from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm.

The speakers come from different areas of the green sector and include company officers, influencers, and entrepreneurs. Among them are Susan Stone, the CEO of Ubiquitous Energy, who will discuss “The Future of Solar Technology”; ecobee’s CEO Stuart Lombard on “Building Sustainable Products”; and Ellen Spooner, who works at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), whose talk is on “The Power of the Oceans.” Events like this are perfect occasions for attendees to exchange Business Cards.

The Green Summit is set for March 24 and 25 at 4475 Mission Boulevard in San Diego.
